Cranberries - the "wonderberry"
Cranberries are not only good but they are good for you. They are filled with antioxidants, flavonaids and Vitamin C, which help to energize your immune system. Compared to other fruits, the cranberry has more natural occurring antioxidants per gram than any other fruit. It's important to remember a diet filled of fruit and vegetables and rich in fiber and antioxidants are recognized by the Center for Disease Controls as bring helpful in reducing the risk to chronic disease such as heart disease.
Cranberries contain proanthocyanidins, referred to as PACs. PACs help harmful bacteria from sticking to certain areas in the body such as the urinary tract, the mouth and the stomach. PACS are all natural components in cranberries.
