Grilled Tomatoes


  • 2 ripe tomatoes cut half around the middle
  • Olive Oil
  • Sea Salt
  • Ground peppercorn pepper
  • Basil leaves

Dislodge the pulp and seeds from the tomatoes. Preheat the grill on high for direct grilling. use a grilling basket or a fine grill grate. Brush the cut side of tomatoes and the grill basket or grill crate with olive oil. Place tomatoes cut side down, cover the grill and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Remove and serve on a dish, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Finish by sprinkling with thin sliced basil.
